Opened as a seafood restaurant in 1998, The Codfather has been serving Camps Bay delicious fish, shellfish and sushi for almost 20 years.
With sweeping views of the ocean or the mountains, and a comfortable, relaxed environment, The Codfather has created the perfect setting to enjoy craft beer, wine and their extensive menu of seafood dishes.
But wait – did we say menu? We didn’t mean menu. They don’t actually have one. Putting a truly unique twist on the dining experience, The Codfather has opted to put the intricacies of your meal selection in the capable hands of their well-trained staff! Instead of ordering from a lifeless book of dishes, patrons are treated to a colourful explanation of all the restaurant has to offer.
They can then make their own dishes based on the available catch, and the amount they’d like to spend on the meal. What might seem a bit daunting at first turns into one of the most bespoke dining experiences you’ll ever have.
The craft beer selection includes Devil’s Peak and other local favourites. The Champagne and wine list is one of the most all-encompassing we’ve seen, and the bar is fully stocked with top shelf offerings.
