#DPBC Lager Launch
It was a cold and rainy afternoon, but that didn’t stop some of South Africa’s most kick-ass media teams from making their way to The Taproom for the launch of our brand new #DPBC Lager.
The smell of hops filled the air as everyone wandered about, chatting, laughing and sipping on the newest offering from South Africa’s top brewery.
After a little speech by the brewer himself, we were treated to a mind blowing selection of starters including chili poppers, mini corndogs, fries and chicken wings. The second round of #DPBC Lager were already being poured.
We were then asked to scribble down our thoughts and tasting notes. Little did we know the best description would be awarded with a case of #DPBC every month from August to December. So taken aback was Danielle Le Chat with our delicious lager, that she wrote a poem about it on her entry. Needless to say she took home the prize.
Next up was a famous Taproom burger. Nothing goes better with a burger than a session beer, and this was a session beer of note.
We finally wrapped things up with one of two mouthwatering desserts – a chocolate waffle with ice cream or a classic sundae.
I had the waffle and devoured the entire thing.
I regret nothing.
Come 1700, it was time to open the doors and unleash our creation on the waiting public. The first 100 people through the door enjoyed a free pint of #DPBC Lager while listening to live music and enjoying the warm atmosphere of The Taproom.
