Elephant and Barrel, a cosy English pub, is tucked away at Huguenot Square in the beautiful wine valley of Franschhoek. Open early til’ late, it has become a favourite watering hole for tourists and locals alike.

Inside this traditional pub, you’ll find ample inside and outside seating. If you’re looking for a real treat, pop upstairs to the second floor balcony and drink in the view of the surrounding mountains. Exposed beams, wood burning stoves and tons of dark, polished wood give Elephant and Barrel a truly authentic feel. The outdoor space is expansive and also boasts live music every Friday. If sports are your thing, giant TV’s are streaming rugby, football and cricket whenever there’s a game to be had.
