Food Craft Dining Experience #4
If you missed out on last year’s Food Craft Dining Experience, then here’s some good news – we’re repeating it this year.
Yep, back by popular demand, may we present to you, this:
Last year’s Food Craft Dining Experience #3 featured the tunes of musician Mark Mcree, fine wine tasting of the Mullineux Kloof Street range and Barrets Ridge Beer bread together with Rio Largo Olive Oil infused with eat.art Egyptian Dukkah for dunking.
Chef Ian Hamilton wowed patrons with his mushroom and handmade tomato relish starter. The main was a flavour combinations in the form of three mini dishes of sumac crusted hake on a bed of fries and pea puree, a pulled pork sourdough sandwich spiced with Moroccan Ras el Hanout and Indian Tandoori spiced Babotie on a bed of rice. For desert guests were taken through the basics of chocolate tasting by DV Chocolatiers.
Our winemaker turned brewer, JC, regaled the crowd with the history of the Devil’s Peak Brewery, and shared his knowledge on the beers tasted in the pairing, including: First Light, Woodhead Amber Ale and Kings Blockhouse IPA.
