Whether it be a family dinner, a business lunch or simply meeting with friends to catch up and have a good time over delicious food and excellent drinks, Devil’s Peak De Oude is the destination for you.

Dating back to 1677, the Heritage building of De Oude Welgemoed has now been lovingly restored. Come and relax under the shade of our 300-year old oak tree while sipping a Devil’s Peak craft beer, as the kids play happily on the lawns in front of you.

Of course, being part of the Devil’s Peak family you can expect a wide selection of craft beers at De Oude with 18 taps on rotation at the venue, 10 in our Alpha Beer Hall and 6 in De Oude Manor and 2 in our Bistro. Come and explore our world of craft beer with our regular favourites and a number of limited releases and unique beers, brewed by legendary head brewer JC Steyn, all available. Fortunately De Oude also provides the perfect platform to showcase South African and international craft spirits and carefully selected wines. But the perfect drink must be accompanied by the perfect meal.

Devil’s Peak De Oude’s Head Chef, Jacques Fourie has recently returned to South African shores after a decade long stint in the UK where she concentrated on honing his skills in some of London’s most celebrated restaurants. He opened Ember Yard Charcuterie Bar and Grill, a high-end, award-winning tapas restaurant in the heart of London’s Soho district.

It was during his time at Ember Yard Charcuterie Bar and Grill that Jacques developed a passion for wood-fired cooking, and this made him a natural fit for Devil’s Peak De Oude. With his strong South African heritage, great experience and an impeccable palate, he is excited to bring the concept to life and set De Oude as one of Cape Town’s must-visit destinations.
